may I pass values to a session variable?? 1

as it's a SESSION variable it's kind of GLOBAL - meaning that yes, you can access it from anywhere on your site (as long as your files are .cfm, and as long as you pass the cfid and cftoken along - more details by performing a search here, using "session variables" or "cfid and cftoken" as keywords - or by reading the doc ;-) !)
