I've run into an issue with my MTU setting on my W2k computer.
I connect to the internet through a 128bit PPTP VPN connection.
I have my mtu on my interface at 1500 but when I run tests it stops me at 1400 - tcpip overhead.
I read one report on dslreports.com that w2k through pptp vpn will ONLY allow an MTU of 1400 with no work arounds.
Can anyone verify this? Does anyone know a work around? It appears to be an issue with SP3....6 months ago I was able to push 1460 but now that I've formatted my hd and reloaded with sp3 it won't superceed the 1400 ceiling.
Please let me know,
Thanks.
