Trying to create a graphic for use in an application, but the width of the graphic is about 12,000 pixels. I know, i know its massive but needed

If I try to create a new document 12,000 it resizes to 10,000

Any one come across this or know of a setting that will allow the size of image I require

Fireworks is really designed for web imaging rather than large production images (unlike PS).

While I havn't found anything regarding a limit to Firework's pixel width, I have found people with similar questions and the answer has been the same. 10,000 pixels seems to be the ceiling at any res.

You might want to try another application I'm afraid. Photoshop CS handles this size just fine, but is pretty pricey of course.
