Is there a maximum number of users in Access 2000? I read that it's "optimized" for 5 users, and elsewhere that only 5 users can access a database at the same time. I don't want to waste time on developing an app if no more than 5 can use it at once...

To my knowledge, there is no limit on users in 2000. I have developed an application that is used by more than 5 users at a time and it has performed quite well. However, the more users that you have, the more "unstable" any database will become depending on the number of queries and other items running that modify data.

In my searching, there is no limit. However, I currently run a database with approximately 12 users. I am looking to get out of Access and into SQL. I am tired of the corruptions in the database. You have to weigh in all the factors that will cause a corruption.
