maximum users 2k server limit seems to be 10

win 2k server with 200 max users, will only allow 10 xp machines to logon. can connect more 98/95 . message say no domain controller can be found.
I increased the license after discovering I had left it at the default when building the server.
any ideas how to remedy this?

When a new machine is connected to the server I believe a licence is taken up and allocated to the user. Next time another is taken by the machine. To remedy this create a licence group and put the users in the group.

Hi there,
Could this be related to, "In a Windows 2000 domain, the maximum number of machine accounts that any authenticated user can join to a domain is 10." This is a default configuration, which can be changed.
