I have this question in another thread getting buried...

When I go in system capacity, I can see that I have a maximum of 112 trunk groups possible; yet I cannot create more than one, I get a "exceed system limits" warning.

Does it have to do with my hardware config, only having the AMB?

Or do I have to manually reallocate ressources?

how many trunks do you have configured? what version of software?

Seems to be a bug; software 5.0 SP2 PR1

A colleague managed to create 4, and then the same popup came in; most I managed to create was 2.

I have 6 trunks configured.

User Error??

You select trunk groups
You select add
- Enter the number of records to add : 1
- Trunk group Number : 2
- No other entries
- Save

If this is correct, then I would ask how you initially programmed the system. Did you upload a DB from another system or build from scratch.

If Upload DB - Was the system type identical?

If Scratch, call Mitel TS

Built from scratch; only imported forms for CoS, system options, etc..

I did a DBMS flag off, rebooted, and retried; same error.

I'm reinstalling HDD from scratch and testing; customer I upgraded recently has same problem when I log in.

If I still have the same problem, I will scratch and start from original release 5 and see from there; if it works, I'll go through SP1, then SP2 and notify Mitel where it stops working.

Sounds Harsh to me but if you have the time.

Next time lets advertise your skill level hmmmm. We get a lot of newbies here.

think this is a programming issue as we are on that version, have 4 trunk groups and I can still add more

No, not a prog issue; I have other techs work on same system with same issue; the issue itself is not consistant, and I never ran into this on other versions.

Also, I remotely logged on a customer's system and had the same issue; I upgraded that MCD in mid-June.

I've rebuilt from scratch, synched with AMC, reconfigured the AMB and trunks, still there. Next step is 5.0, no SPx.

Apologies to J1982;

here is what I found out by accident (well, looks like it): if you create a TG numbered anywhere between 1-112 (system original capacity), no problems. If you create TG numbered over 112 (but below 250), you get that prompt, but sometimes it will work, most times not.

System says TG # should be between 0 & 250, yet it's not totally true. I've installed a multiple site cutomer this winter (4 MCDs, 8 total sites), and the PRI had a TG # of 200, and the local analog (backup) TGs were 1XX, and never had that problem. Here I try with anything above 112, and I get the prompt.

Yet, yesterday a coworker created a range just for kicks that started from 111 to 114 and it passed.

You may ask why not use 1, 2, 3... well like HG, I like to use a rounded pilot number, with members being XX1, XX2, etc. I'm not married to the format so I'll adapt, but still weird.

It's been tested on a customer's 4.2 this morning too, BTW. Sorry for making you lose your time

I've tried this out on a Rel 9.0 MX system

I can create all hunt groups if trunk number is 112 or less (I created all 112)

Above 112 I get system dimensions exceeded (with only 1 other existing)

Above 250 I get error saying that number must be between 0 and 250

It accepts 250 as valid so I tried zero and it said "Integer failed low bound check"

So, one of 2 things

1 - Software error does not allow more than 1 hunt group numbered above 112
2 - Number limit should be restricted to 1-112

Either way the issue has been around quite a while and affect all systems.

Do you have access to Mitel TAC?

If not, I can backdoor this issue. (I think)
