maximum speed of One-Port Serial WAN Interface Card, WIC-1TWIC-1T

Hi all,

My Cisco 3600 series router has a WAN network module in kind of One-Port Serial WAN Interface Card, WIC-1T. And I don't know what does word "T" stands for ? in addition, what is the maximum speed of this serial port can support ?

That appears to be a T1 wic card ( csu/dsu) under a 24 port T1 this would be 1.536

According to the cisco web site the maximum port speed of a WIC-1T serial interface is 2.048 Mbps

Well.. that may be the max speed.. BUT... can you actually use it with a telco? Probably not here in the states as we use 1.54 T1 as our standard.. but overseas with the E1 standard, you can go to 2.048Mbps which is 32 channels.

So .. you are both right but the correct answer needs to be put into a context to be useful.
