Maximum Physical Receive Packet Size

What should the Maximum Physical Receive Packet Size be set to, right now it is 4224 and we are having performance issues talking to it across the network. The switch is already hard coded to 1 gig

There are very few cases that I've seen where that has been necessary to change from 4224.

I would look at the NIC driver and either get an update or maybe backrev it. What specific NIC model is it and what driver do you use?
