Hi everybody,

I've got this small informative question.

What is actually the maximum number of i-nodes a
filesystem on AIX 4.3.3 can handle ? Does this depend
on the filesystem size or the so-called allocation
group size or both ?

How can I calculate that limit when I have the
necessary filesystem properties ?

Thanks for the help !

Bobo.

AIX calculates the size divided by the selected [tt]nbpi[/tt] number selected for the filesystem and creates that number of i-nodes. If you grow the filesystem it creates a proportional number of inodes...

I hope it works..
