Maximum number of Com ports in XP

Hello All,

Does anyone know the maximum number of supported com ports that can be installed in a Windows XP Pro machine. I am talking about putting serial adapters into the computer - such as a Digiboard

Digiboard software should fix any shortcommings. Check with the card manufacturer on how many they support.
