Hey all.. I'm trying to open a large .gif file in IE 6. It is approx. 400kb file which expands to roughly 42 mb in Photoshop.. I can open the file with Firefox and Photoshop with no problem..

My question is.. is there a size limit in IE6 or possibly a setting that can be changed to allow these larger files to be opened?

Thanks in advance!

Robert

I'm unaware of any size related restriction in IE. Do you receive some particular error message?

No error message.. just the little red x.. I can open similar .gif images that are smaller with no problems.

There's a wealth of information and links within this thread Internet Explorer Missing Images "x" thread608-538850
