I am running a query that has quiet a large number of fields, i think about 40.

The query runs fine, but access will not allow this number of fields to be exported.

Any ideas?

Many thanks

Ms. A. (and many relational dbs) have limits on the nyumber of fields in a recordset. They also have varying, various and arcane definitions of the "field count", which includes elements like indicies, aggregate clauses and other conditionals, so their count seldon equals the number of columns you can count in the display. BUT, if the field count exceeds the limitm hte query doesn;t run as a query either, so the export is not really an issue.
