Maximum compression LTO2

Hi,

I know that that maximum hardware compression of LTO2 tapes is 2:1 which means 200/400GB.

Is it possible that on a single LTO2 tapem there is more data stored than 400GB.
Someone told me he has seen a LTO2 tape taht had about 700GB of data.
