Maximum allowed users on a share.

I would like to know where this value is stored and if it can be changed?

Any comments or help is greatly appreciated..

Map to the share that you need to access to in Windows NT Explorer. Then go to Winfile (Start/Run/Winfile) and highlight the same drive. Choose the share icon of the top of the screen and select the ammount of users you want to connect to the share.
That should do it...

If you right click the folder that is being shared, and select sharing, you can change the number of people that are allowed to access the folder.

Thanks for the replies but I already knew how to do that....

what puzzled me is that there is a maximum users setting, what does this mean if you have to manually select the shares and change the number of users?

Thanks for the replies, they are always appreciated...

We had a problem with this when a lot of users where mapping to a share it limited the amount even though maximum was selected. The fix was to increase the licensing for the server.

Hope this points you in the right direction
