Hi,

I have a request page with 3 radio buttons on it. They are: Current Record, Selected Records and All Records. When I run this report from Maximo, the Current Record and All Records radio buttons work as expected, but the Selected Records radio button always results in the error:

12113: Error occurred while getting the viewing information from the server.

In the server log file, the message is:

Message: Error occurred while getting the viewing information from the server. The specified item ID does not exist in the Encyclopedia volume.

I do not understand what item ID it is trying to get. Does this mean that the report file it is trying to load does not exist?

Is there a way to find out exactly what is being passed from the Request Page?

Please help.

Pete

I have found out that Maximo is parsing the where clause that is being sent to Actuate. If it contaains a key field (as mine does) then it is parsed (wrongly in this case). My where clause is ORIGINALPONUM LIKE '21%', and Maximo parses this to: ORIGINAL PO.PONUM LIKE '21%'.

I have got around the problem in my report by checking for PO.PONUM and seeing what text is before that.

I believe the problem is fixed in a Maximo patch.

Pete
