maximizing or minimizing the space b/w two lines on a repot

Hi!
I am having a little problem in displaying a text on a report and hence also in printing it.
I am developing a cheque printing system. The data is to be entered in the form and then print it on a cheque accordingly. The problem is some how i have to increase the distance between two line , for example increase the line height or distance or whatever to say from 12mm to 15mm etc. Like in Ms-Word when u press Ctrl+5 the line spacing incerases. similar is the thing i want. just some code or a way out? please help me guys.

It depends on where you want this spacing... Between lines of text in the same field? or Between fields themselves?
