Is it possible to maximize a new window without having to simply "resize" it?

As I've read, resizing isn't the same thing as maximizing but I haven't found any examples of how to actually maximize VS. resize.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
Dave

no, you can't maximize with javascript. you'll need to programatically determine the maximum height and width available on a screen, and then resize the window to that size, and move the window to 0x0.

Doh!!
Thanks for the reply. Man, I was hoping that there would be a way to access the brower object and say something like 'set MaximizeButton = 1'. Of course it would have to check which browser is being used. But what a drag!!

Is there any danger is resizing as opposed to maximizing that I should be on the lookout for? Like will the scroll bars work on frames where the frameset page has been resized?

Thanks again,
Dave
