PHP runs on the server. You need a client-side scripting language, such as JavaScript or VBScript, to do this.

Yes. However, it will have to be done with client-side scripting such as JavaScript since PHP runs on the server and has absolutely no access to client's browser. Please ask the question in JavaScript forum. Also note that it will not work with people who have JS disabled or certain pop-up blocker software installed.
