A second Access instance never opens full screen by itself.
Why?
A command like 'Maximize' doesn't appear to exist (the application object). At least I cannot find a command comparable to the command to open a Word instance full screen,

Setting the shortcut to the mdb on my desktop to full screen doesn't work for a second Access instance.

Does anyone know how I can force any Access instance to open full screen?

I would be very grateful,

Greeting, Bart Verlaan.

The Docmd.maximize is used for windows within the database window. If you want access to maximize you will have to do this via properties on the shortcut that you use for opening your app/access.

After a lot of wandering through the Acces VBA help I found the solution to my question.
The command DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdAppMaximize (Form_Open of the Start-up Form) does what I want to happen.

As far as I found out this is the only way to force a second (or third or next) Access instance to open full screen (in a maximized window).

A command-line switch that does the job doesn't appear to exist.

Finally, after two years of annoyance.

Greetings, Bart Verlaan.

There is nothing like being corrected and lerning something new in the process [2thumbsup]
Thx Bart
