I was wondering if this SAP database (maxdb) which co developed and promoted by MySQL is actually used in the industry.

According to this article (it looks like the future of this database looks good, and since the article is dated 2003 i wondered how well it does in the industry and if it is actually used and what are the comments.(positive and negative).

SAP can be good it is an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.

The implementation is the nightmare.

If you want enterprise DMBS, go for postgreSQL. You won't go wrong :)
