I have a crystal report that works fine from the Oracle Server or on my local client machine. I am using Crystal report 9.2.2.634 with oracle 10g. I ported the applicaiton to Eportfolio - Crystal Enterprise Report Server. When I run the report on demand. It runs to about 38% per the status bar at the bottom and then I receive this dreaded message from the Crystal viewer "Max Processing Time - max limit reached. I don't know what the problem is or where to increase the max processing tiem or max limit. since i am the application owner. The administrator told me that I don't have any limits imposed - Smaller reports run like a charm. Anybody have an ideas what my problem is? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Are you sure the error isn't more like:

"Error encountered by Crystal Page Server. Max processing time/Max records limit reached. [On Cache/Page Server]"

You get this error when there are more than the allowed number of records. I believe the default is 20000. To increase this or remove the limit, there is a switch on the job server..
-maxDBResultRecords <number>

set the number to what you want, 0 for no limit.

Is this a bug in Crystal Reports and has a bug fix been submitted to Business Objects? I sure would like to get this working..

Mystery Solved!

Not only set the MaxDbresultrecords but check the odbc setting on the server for the database you access.
The prefetch setting may not be large enough to handle your result set and may reach the timeout limit before it is done. In my case, the server dba had not set the prefetch records default setting from 10 so we increased it to 1000 and the report processed within the time limit specified.

Mystery Solved!
Thanks for help.
