Guys I need to be able to test web pages I build that use SSI calls locally on my mac osx running panther.

Is this possible? I know apache is installed by default but by no means am I a hard core web server expert.

Any ideas on how I can do this?

Ignoring the confusing acronym in the subject of you post, you can configure apache to handle Server Side Includes by editing the httpd.conf file found in /etc/httpd/.

The file is well commented so it should be straightforward. You may want to jump over to the apache forum to learn more about tweaking this file.
