max number of processor under pLinux ??

hello,

does one of you know what is the maximum number of processor that can be used under native linux on pSeries ??

I used to think it was 8 fr 2.4 kernel and 16 for 2.6 kernel, but i'm not sure, would you have a pointer ??

a quick search on yahoo dodn't give any relevant answer to this question.

I seem to remember the same. However IBM's web site says the top end is a 8 way P650.
