Group,

I am very new to Cisco Call Manager. The company I work for had a consultant configure and install CM, Unity, and IPCCEXP. I was recently asked what is the maximum number of calls that could be handled without interruption of service , (ie dropped calls or busy signals)

I think it had something to do with the number of ports on the Unity box which is currently 16. However I’m not totally sure. And if it is related to the Unity ports how do you calculate the max number?

Any input would be great………..Thanks

If you're talking about voicemail ports (Unity) then 16 would make sense as an answer, but that's probably not what management wants to hear about.

What's your connection to the PSTN? If you're using ISDN PRIs (quite common in USA, like a voice T1) then it's 23 calls per PRI. For individual FXO ports it's one call per port. If it's something else, then it's something else! :)
