Dear All,

I am facing a continuous problem of hanged lines on my 2W trunks.... Lines gets stucked up & releases only if i do a restart on PU or after 9 Hrs 55 mins...

Can someone pls advice where is this duration specified & how to manipulate this figure or any other alternative way to specify max duration on a TLP11 trunk (without having metering 12/16 Khz signal from PSTN)..

Thanks & Regards,

Hi Singbrindisi
The question to ask is why are your lines not releasing is it only on certain trunks is on i/c calls or o/g calls or either. Can you reproduce the fault. Is the MD looking for a loop disconect or a reversal what do you get from your Teleco? You are assuming it is your problem but it may not be. Do some tests till you can reproduce the fault then you will know where the problem is.
Cheers

Hi,

Thanks for your reply..

Problem appear occassionally on O/G calls but always on my TL11 route...

I have TL30 & TL60 routes & those works without any problem...

Here is the printout during the problem: Traffic state is speech & line is busy but actually its not in the real situation...
For these two routes: I am using GSM interfaces & connected SIM cards with our MD using TLU75...
Route parameters are attached to give you an insight..

simple call case :
call a GSM via rou 176
take second access
call a GSM via rou 133

transfer those two calls (so we have trunk to trunk call)
disconnect GSM's
you'll see that TL11 trunks are still in speech on both routes.
the real problem here is that we don't have any clearing signal here because we have to trunks here.

solutions :

prevent these type of call cases via traffic matrix (same should be true for 2 calls made via the same route)
see if the GSM interface supports polarity reversal for clearing signal.

Cheers,
Daddy

Check if you have b answer and clear signal on your analog trunks. Its easy to test using your voltmeter. Put your probe across the line and do a test call. Be sure you have the right line characteristics against your route data.

Dear All,

Thanks for your valuable & informative posts.

On GSM interface i have two settings:
Polarity Reversal & loop interrupt.

As per Patcher's suggestion: Using volmeter i can see the changes only on disconnection of call..

As advised I reduced Loop Interrupt time( During Disconnection) to 100ms instead of default time of 500ms..
No changes were made in Polarity reversal time as nothing reflected on the voltmeter during the connection of call.

Trunks are under observation after the changes...

Thanks & BR,
