Max. character length for a new Dynamic Server name?

I've just loaded Informix Dynamic Server 2000 (version 9.21.TC1-1) for NT here locally. But my question is what is the maximum server name length i can use when creating new instances? In the past when we had Informix version 7.3 in place, we would run into issues when the server name exceeded 18 characters. Is this still true/valid for version 9.21? I ask because i have two test servers up & running, one with a very short server name & the other with a server name that's 20 characters in length. So far no problems but didn't know if it would come back to bite us later.
And where would i be able to find additional info on the "can do's" & "can nots" for this particular type of installation?

Any info anyone can provide would be appreciated.
