Matrox drivers with Linux

I have a Matrox Millennium II PCI video card I'm trying to find drivers for. I guess the first problem is that I'm not sure how to go about installing them in the first place. First off, I've googlized "Matrox Millennium II drivers" at both and to no avail. Part of the problem may very well be that I'm looking for a .tar.gz or some such extension and perhaps I need to be looking for something else? I was told that I needed to first install the drivers, then do a "modprobe mga", then edit the XF86Config and, if successful up to this point, add the entry to /etc/rc.d/rc.local. I'm using Slackware 9, but would assume the underlying installation concept would be similar for other distros, from what I've learned so far about Linux. If the question sounds dumb, I apologize. Still trying to get my head out of the M$ cloud of "Found New Hardware" and into the Linux frame of mind. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Hi there, I am using a Matrox G200 Millenium AGP card, salvaged out of an old Compaq, and didn't have any prob what so ever installing it into LINUX (it has the drivers on board...) btw I am using SuSE 8.1 (now upgraded to 8.2)...

Sorry I know that this post mostlikely doesn't help you any... but I do believe that there is a driver for it already...

I agree with Ben. It should come with the X server for that card.
