Math applied to pixels with overlay

Hello,
I'm adding lightmaps to a 3D engine and I'm trying to figure out how to blend them correctly with textures. I want to be able to have a full range of colors - black to white. The default blending is "multiply" but that only has a range of black to the original color. So, I want to use something similar to "Overlay" (or "Soft Light") in the Photoshop blend modes.

The problem is, I don't know how the pixel colors are combined in those blend modes. If anyone knows, could you inform me on how each pixel is blended? Thanks!
