Matching hyperlinks in table and excel linked table

I have a user that insists that the only answer to everything is an excel spreadsheet (The Boss). Everyone else is very happy with the access db interface. I linked an excel spreadsheet to the db and intend on updating both the table and the spreadsheet with a command button from an input form. One of the fields in the table is a hyperlink to a file on the server, used for more information. How do I get this hyperlink to the excel spreadsheet?
