Hi there. We're still using MAT to maintain our Meridian 1 Option 11c system 23 issue 55+. We just ran into a problem where MAT froze while doing an update. We not have a problem where MAT can't login to the switch anymore and gets this error.

** ERROR - Unable to create Access File.
/pty/ptty00.S is not defined in SL1 Database
PDT in Progress. Please Wait....** ERROR - Unable to create Access File.

I tried RLOGIN with username CPSID and I get that every time. Obviously the PTY is defined as we had it working yesterday.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks

Jordon

You have to do a INI of the switch.
There is somekind of software corruption or processes not working correctly.

So its either an Ini or a sysload.

I have seen it many times.

Thanks for your reply.

What's an INI, or a sysload, and how do you do them? I'm hoping you just mean a reboot, and not a reinstall of anything...

Actually, when you say it's corruption, are you talking about the access database, or the PTTY not in the SL1 database problem?

The access database message has been there forever, but we were still able to login.

I have had this PTTY not in the SL1 database once before, but it fixed itself. It's just wierd.

I will mention one thing though. We were doing a MAT update before this happened, and the computer froze while doing the update. Since then, the PTTY has been locked.

PLUS, if I rlogin using some other username other than CPSID, then I get a password prompt, but that doesn't do me any good as I don't know any other rlogin passwords.

Or do you think I should out the PTY and re add it to get rid of the corruption.
