I've been using MAT6 for CDR. My SEB II unit finally died & I need to set MAT
for a direct serial connection for CDR. I have a working connection from my PC to the 81C and
if I open a console window, can see the call data as it happens. The problem with this
set up is no buffer to store the data for daily collection, and no documentation in the MAT
guides on how to do this, although it does say it can be done (Unless you happen to have a MDR-2000).
Does anyone know what scripts to use, how to set up mat to continuously save/store data and what
has to be done to collect & index the data?
Thanks…………Chuck

There isn't a buffer in MAT, thats what the SEB was for. either get a new SEB or use a PC to collect the data. You can also use something like an MDR2000 or simular storage device.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

The SEB has a Battery in it, are you sure it just isn't a dead battery.

Are you using hyperterminal, if so you could capture the data to the hard drive. Just make sure that you check it to make sure it is not filling the hard drive up.

It’s not the battery. The SEB is toast.
MAT 6 documentation sys that you can collect the data to a file on the MAT PC. and then “Poll”
the file, OR you can select Continuous Data Collection and somehow MAT will index these records and update the CDR database. The problem is that it doesn’t say how to do this.

MAT was the New OTM, but I don't know anybody that used it for CDR collecting and I never did. I think it was the same as OTM in that you needed to buy the add on packages to do CDR and reporting, but seeing as how you where using a SEB you may not have the Package.
