masterpage question

Hello,
I developed a site using a masterpage. Everything is working perfectly within the IDE.
When I copy my files to the server, it seems like the style sheet is not found. None of the styles are applied.
Does anyone have any idea why this might happen?

Have a look at the generated source and see if the path is correct.

it appears to be correct. The path in the source is showing as ../css/style.css. If I take this and put it into the address bar, I am able to access the style sheet.

I was wrong. I assumed that by having ../css/style.css, it would pick up the actual location of the web site. but for some reason it wasn't picking up the virtual directory. I added that into the MasterPage css link url and it worked.



Why wouldn't that virtual directory be picked up automatically?
