Master Pages & Numbering 1

Does anyone know If there is a way that I can create a background graphic and apply it to all pages of a document? If so, can I then apply pagenumbers.

Im looking for a similar effect to that found in InDesign or Pagemaker.

Layout - page setup - choose background from left pane under page, this is ok for a colour or bitmap - or place your graphic on the master layer these will then appear on every page of that document. There is a page numbering vba script in V12 goto tools - visual basic - play - choose all standard projects - page numbering. This works ok for A4 pages but I found not so for other sizes, could be me though, I'm open to some help here.
