I'd like to apply a new document master or template to many, many existing PageMaker 7.0 documents.

Is there any way to copy a 'new document master' to an existing document (ie., like styles)? Or can I apply a new document template to existing documents? Plug-in? Anything? please help.

The best option is to create a PM Template (*.PMT) which contains all the Master pages you require.

There is no direct way to import Master pages from one PM file to another. It is possible to copy objects from one Master page in a file to another, but all none printing guides (margins, &c.) will need to be added manually.

Once you have created a Master Template as it were, you can more easily create others from it.

The use of Templates is highly recommended. Updating publications (e.g. monthly newsletters) by editing a previous version is not recommended as the risk of internal corruption is significantly increased. Or in other words, once you have experienced it, you will never do it again!
