Master / Detail page passing values via URL

Can someone please help me I am trying to build a master / detial page but for some reason I can pass the vaule in the URL in the form of a "ID", but the prombles start when I want to use the value which I have passed to the details page to drag the infomation from the MySQL database

How are you referencing ID?

If you have the PHP configuration directive "register_globals" set to "off" (the recommended practice:

http://www.php.net/manual/en/security.registerglobals.php),

then you cannot reference forum input using "$ID".

If you are constructing the URL and passing the value via the URL, this is the same as a "GET"-method form input. Use $_GET["ID"] to reference the value. Want the best answers? Ask the best questions:

I have "register_globals" set to "on" and still I can't select the row using the "ID" which is pasted via the URL.

I got it working now, thanks for your help when I used $_GET at the top of the page to call the ID it started to work.
