hey everyone on a computer that i have that runs on 95, i moved some files from the recyling bin to a file and then i received a message and dont remember what it said , but then hte comp began to restart. But when i get into windows it tells me that my master boot record was modified. so then i run in safe mode to delete the files and folder that i added to and then restarted the comp. however the same message comes up when i enter windows. how can i resolve this.

Insert a Windows boot floppy that contains fdisk.exe and sys.com, startup the system, select 'Start without CD-ROM support', press Enter, at the A:\> prompt type C: and press Enter, at the C:\> prompt type fdisk /mbr and press Enter.

If that does not fix things, then restart with the floppy inserted, and at the A:\> prompt type sys c: and press Enter.

And be sure to use a boot floppy for your version of Windows, there's 4, Win95, Win95A, Win95B, or Win95C.
