Anyone here real familiar with this Massachusetts regulation 201 CMR 17:00? better yet, any email admins here that are in Massachusetts?
I'm trying to determine how this law impacted business in or companies working with residence of the state. Specifically, what those companies had to do with their email systems. Our company has TLS enabled for encrypting email, but of course its dependent on the other side supporting it. If this law required every company in Mass to support TLS I suppose it'd be fine, but I can't find if that's the case. Just wondering if anyone here who's really familiar with this law could tell me if enabling TLS is sufficient for satisfying the requirements of email encryption in accordance with the regulation.
