To start I am running a Nortel 81c. Yesterday afternoon, the building I work in received some sort of mass spoof call. All the phones in my building were ringing at the same time and received a call from from the same number tying up all of our trunks. I know how to reroute the specific number in the IDC table so it does not go through to all the lines, but I know the number could be easily changed and it could be done again from a different number. Is there any way to prevent a single number from mass dialing my entire PBX switch? My bosses are viewing this as a DDOS attempt and want a solution where someone is not able to flood our switch with calls to every number in our DID. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thank you

You can look at Securelogix.com. If your trunks are PRI they have a product you can place in front of the PRI that will give you some control. Somewhat expensive but if your business warrants it then maybe not.
IDC tables can't route calls based on the incoming Calling Line ID. They only control the incoming dialed digits.
If you have Contact Center Server you can control calls based on CLID but every DN would have to be routed through the Contact Center.
