To start I am running a Nortel 81c. Yesterday afternoon, the building I work in received some sort of mass spoof call. All the phones in my building were ringing at the same time and received a call from from the same number tying up all of our trunks. I know how to reroute the specific number in the IDC table so it does not go through to all the lines, but I know the number could be easily changed and it could be done again from a different number. Is there any way to prevent a single number from mass dialing my entire PBX switch? My bosses are viewing this as a DDOS attempt and want a solution where someone is not able to flood our switch with calls to every number in our DID. Any help would be greatly appreciated.thank you
