Anyone know of a way to call forward DID inbound calls to external numbers WITHOUT leavain a bunch of sets at the customers old location? I set it up in SETS>CAPABILITIES>FNA/FB and it works until I take the instrument off the port, then the port goes UNEQUIPED and the transfers stop.

Yes, having the telco do it would be the prefered way to handle this, HOWEVER the LEC (AT&T) is somewhat less than helpful on this respect. Soooo. I need to do it myself. Anyone else got any ideas??????

I think i saw where you could do a line re-direct and then pull the phone and the re-direct would hold until a reset. you need to have good records so you can reset it if you lose the redirecton.

Will your CO let you move your DIDs with you? Here, AT&T/BellSouth, our LEC will let us move DIDs and PRIs/T1s across town, and they don't even have to be in the same prefix exchange area of town anymore. We have some that come from the inner city and we are in the northern city part of the area, which is a totally different prefix exchange. We also had some from US LEC that AT&T took over for us when we switched in August/September of 06.

Your CO may be able to move your DIDs from your old location to your new one for you. I would try to talk them in to doing this if you are in the process of shutting down your old location. Or, try to lean on them a little more to forward all the DIDs to the new ones if you have gone to a lot of trouble already and gotten new DIDs.

Thanks John. yes we had the option to move the service but elected not to because the LEC has so horrably screwed up this account that every 90 days we lose LD and CPID and have to fight with them to make them understand were not Illinois Power anymore, they were sold to Ameren andwe own the account. So I chose to make the new building VerizonBusiness Local and dump AT&T, course that really pissed them off, hence the forwarding issues.
But alas, Jerry's post worked well and the forwarded calls are now down to a hand full each day.

Thanks for your post.
