Howdy!

Using SCO UNIX and sendmail, how can I masquerate the sender's name?

Right now, I have josel@domain.com going on all outbound. I want it to go as Jose.Lerebours@domain.com.

Please help, this is killing me!

Thanks;

Jose Lerebours

Edit sendmail.mc and add this line:

FEATURE(`genericstable', `dbm /etc/mail/genericstable')dnl

If your database mapper is "hash" rather than "dbm", change it here. Now you can use a genericstable. It works a lot like virtusertable. Here is what a line would look like:

josel jose.lerebours@domain.com

Don't forget to do the m4 and makemap before restarting sendmail.
