when i mask an object, and try to save it for web i always get this white area around the mask, exactly how big the masked object is. how do i get rid of this? i tried to expand appearance after i mask the object, but that doesn't help. any suggestions?
thanks.

Hmm, doesnt seem to be any way around that except for the obvious task of trimming down the art. BEHOLD! As Steve Jobs introduces us the latest in desk-lamp technology!

This isnt a great fix but it might help. Shrink your artboard to exactly the width and height of the masked art, then in the save for web dialoge, check the box marked 'clip to artboard' BEHOLD! As Steve Jobs introduces us the latest in desk-lamp technology!
