Masked Images have ghosts

In my flash project I am using masks in Sub-movieclips that are present on the main timeline at all times, and I am having trouble with the images that are masked showing up as outlines when they are supposed to be hidden from sight.

Has anyone had this problem before or maybe know a way to fix it?

Help is greatly appreciated.
