mask layer

Ih I have created a flash 5 move

one of layers I created is masked I then published the movies as a quicktime movie

However the published movie does not see the masked layer how do i make the publish movie see the layer

you need to lock the layers, both mask and masked layer.

???? The published movie should work properly whether the layers are locked or not... locking the layers will make them function in the authoring environment, but they (IF SET UP PROPERLY) function published either way...

That's a good idea though - lock both layers and see if they work in the AE - good way to test - if not then they are not set up right
