i was under assumption 200 was the sql version, is that not the case? Reading the posts here seems as an ODBC file connection is still needed. Is that not so?

is 200 better than 90? how so?

do the same problems with the poorly released and written 4.10 exist in both versions?

thanks for any insight.

MAS has three versions

MAS90 is a file server version. Slower then MAS200 and with more data corruption problems due to the files being sent back and forth over the network.

MAS200 is a client server version using a thin client. Faster and more stable than MAS90. Can only be run on a Windows server.

MAS200 SQL is the client server version written in ProvideX just as MAS90 and the non-SQL version but uses SQL as the underlying database. Slower, much slower than MAS200 AND MAS90. It is basically a dead product. Do not expect any further development on it.

For the most part the code in 4.10 is the same in MAS90 and MAS200. No difference except where the processing is done. With the release of 4.20 hopefully most, if not all, of the issues have been addressed.
