Mas90 lockups -stalls-error messages 1

We have recently installed all new computers and upgraded all windows XP Pro . Since the upgrade we have had massive multi user lock ups, stalls and/or error messages withing Mas90. We aslo just upgraded to Mas90 4.10. The lockup/stalls etc occur daily and mostly with 2 of the users that are in the system the most. >:-< We have tried everything including putting Mas90 on its own file server, upgrading the memory in the two machines to 2 gigs of RAM. All the virus checks and we are still experiencing the same problems. We are out of solutions... any other ideas.%-)

WE HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM 2 YEARS AGO WHEN WE UPGRADED ALL COMPUTERS AND SERVER AND WENT TO xp AND WINDOWS SERVER 2003.
XP AND SERVER 2003 SEARCHES THE NETOWRK WHEN INSTALLED AND SHOWS ALLO NETWORK PRINTERS ON THE SERVER AND WORKSTATIONS. WHEN A CLIENT LOGS IN TO MAS90(200) MAS 200 GOES OUT TO CHECK THE VALIDITY OF ALL THE PRINTERS LISTED IN THE "PRINTERS " ON THE SERVER.IF ONE OF THESE PRINTERS IS NOT AVAIALBLE , YOU CANT LOGIN OR IT MAY TAKE A LON. LONG TIME.
eDIRTHE PRINTERS LIST ON THE SERVER AND WORKSTATIONS AND DELETE ALL THAT ARE NOT NEEDED.
hOPE THIS WORKS FOR YOU.. TOOK SEVERAL WEEKS TO FIGURE THIS OUT AND NO ONE FROM SAGE OR OUR TECH PROVIDER COULD HELP

We need more specifics on what the error messages say.

Printers can be one cause of problems.

Another issue can be virus scan (For example - McAfee has a hot fix for an issue that was holding one of my clients files locked)

If all users experience similar lockups, focus the search on a central point of failure - typically hubs, cables, server.

If it's one or two workstations, get those workstations as "vanilla" as possible -- shut down all extra running programs, etc.

just upgraded - 2 computers freeze in inventory. We thought that perhaps coz inventory wasn't overally involved in upgrades to 4.10. Anyone heard of problems with Mas90 working with the Etrust virus program - coz yes it gives shadows of the old Mcaffe problem.
