Im havin a fairly strange issue where if you double click MAS90 it will open on your taskbar but never on the desktop and it will automatically shut itself down after a few seconds. So it never fully loads.

One user is receiving an error of PVXWIN32.exe application error.

The rest are doing the previous problem. I have tried reinstalling the mas90 client to no avail, does anyone have an idea for this? Thanks!

I can only think to verify your .ini file and make sure the path to the server and port are accurate. Should say something like

[Servers]
1=hal2;;9500;PATH=\\hal2\mas90\mas90

Can you tell me which INI file I need to be looking for? Is this one in the MAS90 folder or are you referring to the win.ini?

Hi.

It will likely be called sota.ini. I use version 3.x, and it's located at C:\mas200\mas90\launcher

Hope it helps, cauze it's all I can think of.

There is no server path etc in that INI file on any of my servers.. Must be something different. This is a pain to diagnose this piece of software!

Hi.

Sorry. The INI I was refereing to is on the work station. It should point to the server in question.

Odd.

Ok, assuming there are differences between our setups then.

1) You are sure your server is up and running? It hasn't changed names, and the unc is the same as it was before the problem started?

2) If you are using XP, your work stations firewalls are turned off? If on, I have seen it cause problems, especially right after installing SP2.

3) your work station configurations are correct? Normally would check the INI you can't find, so I don't know what to suggest there.

Thanks,
ChaZ

See thats the crazy thing is nothing has changed (to our knowledge) it's at a remote site and the mas90 installation is on a novell server. Basically theres a couple of machines over there that login to it and thats it. Well the one throws that error and everyone else that needs to jump in via remote will utilize citrix and its just shutting down on us. Doesnt make any sense at all.
