MAS in gateway mode with two NIC cards.

Just had problems with a new MAS sever establishing an external STATIC IP address (due to the router) and had to keep re-booting the server.
Is there a list of commands available when logging into the MAS server at "root".
I can use the "ping" command, is there the equivalent DOS commands, ipconfig /all and ipconfig /renew etc.
When using ping which of the two NIC cards does it use ? (seemed to be the internal one).

It's basically running the CentOS kernel, so any CentOS commands should work.

ifconfig for displaying ip addresses

route -n for displaying gateways

via web page local networks will assign default routes to gateways which will add entries to the route table displayed by route-n

in a dual nic MSL server by default the wan NIC is the default gateway

to route via LAN NIC you add networks as required and specify the internal gateway address

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

Thanks Billz66,
Will give it a try when I go back next week.
