I have had reportd that a customer cannot changer their pin codes for VM, either via the tutorial, or user options.

We have recently upgraded the MAS to 2.2, and the mailboxes where added straight into nupoint not user and services. Mitel are saying to completely rebuild the server, although i know this is not supprted, it seems a little heavy handed to have to rebuild the server, is there not a way to workaround this issue?

Thanks in advance.

Then you are screwed. You can not bypass the user and services interface to MAS because when you do you get exactly what your problem is. Pain as it might be you need to import users into the MAS. You create a mailbox template in the MAS and then import using that template.

As to your problem I think you can just delete the mailboxes from the Nupoint and then follow the above to import them back in rather then having to start completely from scratch. Maybe someone else has more experience on this.

The single biggest problem with communications is the illusion that it has taken place.

Just done a test, left a mailbox in nupoint, and just added the relevant details in user and services, and associated this to the existing nupoint mailbox and all seemed to work ok, i was able to change pin numbers.

I was under the impression that SP2 gave you the ability to export and import therefore eliminating the need for retyping, not had to do it myself yet but its referenced in the release notes.

Boycey9 i shall have a look, can you export direct from the nupoint and use to import into the MAS?

@f1fanatic

You can create the User tab for each mailbox manually without rebuilding anything. It takes about 30 seconds each.

You cannot use import unless you are creating the mailboxes.

I was under the impression that the mailbox had to be created using the user form to avoid the passcode bug but you seem to have proven otherwise. Good Luck.
