Having some trouble with Mas. We ran payroll, and went to post to job cost, and got an error as follows. Things I have tried include rebuilding sort and key files for all of Job cost, Time card, Payroll, and GL. Also tried completely emptying the records in the Timecard master file, TC1. Each time I try, it says "Process intereupted, do you want to continue". If I answer no, it just ends. If I answer yes, I get the error.

Any help would be appreciated.

The error information is as follows:

Ascii dumb question, get a dumb Ansi

Last time I got an error 47 (didn't get an 11) it was a duplicate key causing the problem. Do you have any keys in TC1 that are equal or very close to '28'? Did you find that key and take a look at it? What does this '28' represent do you think?

It could also be another file that's producing the error, I suppose.

Sorry I don't have much info, but you never know when something will get you thinking....

Well, I am not sure how it happened, but the 28 was a department number. Some how a record got in Time card calling for it, with 28 missing.

We added it, and it processed.

Of course, the GL posint was whacked, but we recovered.

I do appreciate the reply though.

Thanks.
