We use MAS-200 in a Terminal Server environment (2003 Server).

To use the MAS client program, the end user needs to have at least Power User permissions on the computer. The problem is that we don't want our end users to have Power User rights.

I imagine there are probably certain folders or registry keys that we could assign the user rights to, in order to make MAS work, without giving them Power User rights.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks!

This from the Administrator's Guide:

MAS 200 can be used under the Terminal Server with the permissions compatibility set to either Windows 2000 or Windows NT 4.0; however, Windows 2000 security requires that the group, Users, be explicitly granted Full Control to the MAS 200 directory of the client if it is installed on an NT
File System (NTFS). To grant Full Control to the client installed on an NTFS 1 In Windows Explorer, locate the MAS 200 directory (by default, this is in the C:\Program Files\Best directory). 2 Right-click the MAS 200 directory.
3 Click Properties. 4 Select the Users group.
5 Select Full Control (doing this selects all permissions automatically). 6 Click OK.
